ABSTRACT PLACEMENT: Reminiscent of commercial photography, this series of photographs make apparent the characteristics of advertisements through staging, directed and unnatural lighting, and the manipulation of objects to perform a particular effect. She embraces the aesthetics and formal properties, uses them for alternative ways of viewing by stripping away the logo and identity, and questions the relationship we have with this form of visual language so saturated in our urban environments.
