Born and raised in rural Oklahoma, Benjy Russell is an artist currently based out of Dowelltown, Tennessee. His multidisciplinary work seeks to uncover truths and partial truths of human nature through imagined realities, fictional portraiture, and alleged artifacts. His work concentrates mainly on the porous boundaries between fiction and reality, using a hybrid of genres and techniques to disorienting effect. His imagery and sculpture are a study and exploration of either side of the line that exists between sanity and a more interesting reality.
*This accompaniment to a poem utilizes multiple video effects to blur the distinction between reality and fiction.

Shehrezad Maher was born and grew up in Karachi, Pakistan (1988) and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She studied visual arts at Bennington College (2011) and received a Master of Fine Arts degree from the Yale School of Art (2014). Her practice spans sculpture, video, installation and performance. Recent exhibitions of her work include a solo show in Karachi, Pakistan (Hover/Hum), several public intervention projects in Karachi, and group shows and screenings at Flux Factory (upcoming, Queens, New York), Regina Rex (New York, NY), Storefront Ten Eyck Gallery (Brooklyn, NY), Temporary Agency Gallery (Queens, NY), The New Filmmakers Series at Anthology Film Archives (New York, NY) and Twelve Gates Arts (Philadelphia, PA).

Currently attending Cooper Union, lives in Brooklyn, NY. In her work she questions the role one performs in a relationship. Through the choreography of gestures and body language, she aims to raise awareness to one’s performativity, disconnection, expectations, contradictions, and power. Working in a mode of heightened sensitivity, Marissa questions comfort, limits, anxiety, absence, structures, and sanity.

David Hellams is an artist living in Nashville, TN. He received a BA in Art from the University of the South, Sewannee, TN in 2007. Hellams has exhibited drawings and paintings at Estel, Rymer, and Threesquared galleries in Nashville, and several of his works have been acquired by the Downtown Presbyterian Church in Nashville and private collectors. In 2015, his video Stuff Concerto, made in collaboration with his sister Lauren Hellams, was selected for inclusion in the Asheville Art Museum’s Third Annual juried video exhibition, Prime Time.

Born and currently working in Tempe, AZ, Malena Barnhart holds a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Maryland and an M.F.A. in Photography from Arizona State University. Her work has been recently shown at Whitdel Arts, Indiana University-Purdue, the WVU Creative Arts Center, and the SPE National Conference. Her pieces are in the personal collections of Madeleine Albright and the special collections at Columbia University. She has exhibited widely in Arizona and currently teaches at Mesa Community College.
