Nick Doty and Abigail Lucien
March 2016
My name is Nick Doty. I was born and raised in Nashville, TN. The only other places I have lived are Santiago, Chile for 3 months during my studies at Lipscomb University, and in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a winter season after graduating. I Graduated in 2012 with a BFA in Studio Art from Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.
Abigail Lucien spent her earliest years in Cap-Haitien, Haiti before settling with her mother and two elder sisters to Palm Coast, Florida. Her work explores hybrid print media techniques, frequently integrating installation, sculpture, and performance within her process. She is a recipient of both the 2013 and the 2014 Award for Excellence in Printmaking from the Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL, a feature at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in New Smyrna Beach, FL and a full-time apprenticeship at The Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia, PA. Lucien earned her BFA with Honors from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida and is currently working towards her MFA in Printmaking at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
